Our Story and Who We Are

If you haven't met us yet, we are Rosie & Mark. We founded Little Cottage Loves in 2020 as an online collection of home and garden finds curated around our love of the beauty of traditional cottage and countryside living.

For the last six years, we have been working away behind the scenes building our online boutique and now, we feel it would be lovely to open up our little space to share with our neighbours and offer a truly personal, in-person delivery service straight to your door.

Our Studio in Carlton-on-Trent

Our home is located in the very heart of the village of Carlton-on-Trent and we work from a private studio tucked inside the very special and historic Coach House (identifiable from the lane by our lovely rooftop weathervane).

While we aren't a traditional walk-in high street retail shop, our private space is laid out with love as a working studio and styling space which benefits from the charm of being inside the beautiful Grade II listed building.

Can You Visit?

Yes! Being a part of our local community matters deeply to us, and we wanted to share our warmth, exclusively for our neighbours. So, if you find yourself with a little time and would like to pop to see us and have a browse of what we have to offer, please just send us a note via our email below and we will gladly arrange a private appointment to welcome you.

Our In-Person Local Delivery Service

Alongside studio visits, we are also delighted to offer a personal hand-delivery touch for our nearest neighbours. This dedicated service is designed for local customers who value the safety and care of hand-delivered purchases. Whilst we trust our carefully chosen couriers, having the opportunity to personally hand deliver to our local community really is a treat for us.

Our personal delivery route follows the historic Great North Road corridor. We serve the cluster of villages bordered by the River Trent to the East, stretching from the East Drayton and Tuxford areas in the North, across to the villages of Laxton and Kneesall in the west, and down to our neighbours in the Muskhams to the South.

Our route also includes all neighbouring hamlets, country lanes, and private estates within these immediate delivery areas.

Bringing Character to Your Home and Garden

Unlike large high street brands that carry hundreds of identical items, we choose to keep our collection intentionally small. We instead buy in the way we would when dressing our own cottage. Our style, whilst a mix of contemporary and heritage, in our opinion, sits outside of trends and instead finds its home within what we cherish as timeless. Because we don't hold vast amounts of stock or follow rigid seasons, we are very proud to say our treasures do tend to find homes quickly.

When you browse our online boutique, our focus is on unique artisan home decor, interior styling items, rustic tabletop goods, and cosy textiles. We focus where we can on reclaimed wooden furniture and suppliers who have honest eco-considered processes. We also partner directly with trusted, time-proven luxury makers for our larger statement furniture and cottage garden adornments, from weathered planters to outdoor decorative accents.

Growing Together with Our Community

Because we are independent, we have the freedom to adapt and grow gently. Our hope is to shape our collection in a way that feels truly useful and inspiring for our local community. We value your feedback on the types of items you would like to see us bring to the studio, and whilst we can't promise we can source absolutely everything, we will always do our absolute best to find beautiful, soulful things that meet your needs.
